Rohit Tanwar is a doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering from Kurukshetra University. He completed his M.Tech. in Computer Engineering from YMCA University, Faridabad and B.Tech. from Kurukshetra University. Dr. Tanwar holds good scores at respective academic levels. He has approx. sixty journal/ conference publications to his credit. Dr. Tanwar has published 4 books with international publishers. One patent has been granted and 4 patents published as a part of his inventions.

Work Experience

Dr. Tanwar has been working with UPES since last five years. Before joining UPES, he was at Department of Computer Science and Technology, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad (Haryana) for seven years.

Dr. Tanwar believes in providing students with a solid foundation of technical knowledge. For him, engineering is a discipline that demands a profound comprehension of fundamental principles, theories, and their real-world applications. Creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that fosters active participation, curiosity, and critical thinking is his goal. Employing a mix of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and case studies, he aims to assist students in developing a robust conceptual framework that can serve as a strong base throughout their engineering education and professional journeys.

Courses Taught

Dr. Tanwar teaches Data Structures, Theory of Computation, Internet of Things, Cryptography and Network Security.

Awards and Grants

Dr. Tanwar is a recipient of Research Excellence Award-2023 given by Advanced Optimization Techniques and Applications (AOTA-2023), India. He is a senior member of IEEE and EAI Community.

Scholarly Activities

Dr. Tanwar is an active mentor in many projects at various academic levels. One of his scholars has been awarded doctorate under his supervision. Some of the projects done under his supervision have filed for patent registration.
