Dr. Melissa Reneaux
Dr. Melissa Reneaux, Assistant Professor at UPES's School of Liberal Studies and Media, is a computational neuroscientist dedicated to elucidating the biological mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders. Her research involves developing mathematical models to assess how inflammation contributes to depression, particularly through the roles of histamine and serotonin as biomarkers. By integrating the effects of antihistaminergic and antidepressant medications, Dr. Reneaux aims to enhance clinical outcomes and advance the understanding of mental health disorders and their biological foundations.
