UPES hosted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on BioE3 Policy and the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), bringing together experts, faculty, and PhD scholars to explore critical issues in bioeconomy, energy, environment, and research funding. The event highlighted the BioE3 Policy, an initiative driving R&D and entrepreneurship in sectors like biomanufacturing, bio-AI hubs, and regenerative bioeconomy. This policy aligns with national goals such as achieving Net Zero emissions and advancing sustainable, circular bioeconomic practices while addressing challenges like climate change, food security, and health.
The program also focused on the ANRF, a key initiative to enhance India's research ecosystem through interdisciplinary collaboration, industry-academia partnerships, and increased funding opportunities, fostering global research leadership. This FDP reinforced UPES’s role in promoting academic excellence and advancing sustainable development.
