Mohamad Ayub Dar

Dr. Mohamad Ayub Dar holds the position of Assistant Professor within the School of Law at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). Throughout his academic career, he has demonstrated a robust commitment to scholarly endeavors, evidenced by his authorship of numerous research articles disseminated in esteemed legal publications. His scholarly contributions have consistently underscored his proficiency in analytical methodologies, critical inquiry, and adeptness in legal research. Notably, Dr. Dar's scholarly output encompasses a collection of research papers indexed in prestigious databases such as Web of Science and Scopus (Q1), attesting to the high caliber of his work. Particularly noteworthy is his paper titled "Destination Imaging, Compatibilities with Intellectual Property Rights-Based Tourism Industry," which has garnered recognition through its inclusion in the WIPO Knowledge Repository.

Prior to assuming his role at UPES, Dr. Mohamad Ayub Dar served as a faculty member in two Law Colleges affiliated with the University of Kashmir, where he dedicated two years to teaching.

Dr. Mohamad Ayub Dar has cultivated a robust foundation across diverse domains within the legal field, encompassing Intellectual Property Law, Cybersecurity and Data Protection, and corporate law and commercial Law.

Dr. Mohamad Ayub harbors a profound enthusiasm for academia, regarding teaching as an innate extension of his dedication to the legal profession. He emphasizes that guiding students, stimulating discussions, nurturing their intellectual development, and cultivating their enthusiasm are profoundly fulfilling endeavors.

Dr. Mohamad Ayub’s instructional expertise spans across a spectrum of legal subjects, including Intellectual Property Law, Corporate Law, Consumer Law, Law of Contract, and Legal Ethics.

Dr. Mohamad Ayub was honored with a prestigious Doctoral Fellowship award from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), which supported his research endeavors for a duration of two years. 

Dr. Mohamad Ayub has demonstrated a notable commitment to scholarly engagement by actively participating in a range of activities. He has notably engaged in several Research Methodology workshops facilitated by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and has also attended short-term courses sponsored by the University Grants Commission (UGC) focusing on topics such as climate change and Gender studies.
