Dr. Kartik Agre

Dr. Kartik Agre is an accomplished legal educator with 5.5 years of experience in teaching law, specializing in Family Law. Dr. Agre has made significant contributions to the field through his research, authoring several reputable papers that address key issues and advancements in Family Law. His expertise extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his delivery of a distinguished lecture on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), highlighting his ability to connect global issues with legal education.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Kartik Agre was at Presidency University, Bengaluru, as Assistant Professor. He has also worked with Arni University, Kangra; ICFAI University, Dehradun; and Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat.

Dr. Kartik Agre’s teaching philosophy is rooted in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. He believes that for students to truly grasp the complexities of legal subjects, such as Family Law, they must engage with real-world scenarios and understand their implications. Dr. Agre employs a pedagogical approach that integrates practical case studies, simulations, and interactive discussions, ensuring that students not only learn legal concepts but also appreciate their application in everyday situations. Furthermore, he enhances his students' learning experience by organizing special lectures featuring experts in various areas of law, providing them with direct insights from seasoned professionals.

Dr. Kartik Agre teaches Family Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts characterized by a deep commitment to translating complex legal principles into accessible, real-world applications.

Dr. Kartik Agre has achieved notable recognition for his scholarly and intellectual pursuits. On June 15, 2021, he secured first place in a paper presentation which was organized by Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. Prior to this, on June 8, 2019, he also clinched the first position at a National Conference at ICFAI University, Dehradun, for his paper. His academic prowess extends to quiz competitions as well; he secured fourth place in the Inter College Constitutional Quiz organized by UPES, Dehradun, on November 21, 2014, and first place in the First ICFAI Intra Constitutional Quiz held on November 26, 2014. Additionally, in 2011, Dr. Agre achieved second place in Ad Zap (Advertisement Guru), an event organized by IIPM Dehradun.

Dr. Kartik Agre has had the honor of delivering a distinguished lecture on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), showcasing his commitment to integrating global perspectives into legal education. His academic journey is further highlighted by his distinction as a merit scholar during his undergraduate studies.
