Dr. Tanupriya Choudhury

Dr. Tanupriya Choudhury is a full-time Professor at UPES, Dehradun, specializing in AI-ML Applications, Geo-Informatics, Brain Computing, Cloud Computing, and Disease Detection. With more than 15 years of academic and research experience, he has made significant contributions to advancing AI and machine learning applications. Dr. Choudhury has authored numerous publications in high-impact journals and conferences and is the recipient of prestigious awards for his innovative work. His research endeavors include leveraging cutting-edge technologies to address real-world challenges. Dr. Tanupriya Choudhury has held esteemed positions in academia, including roles as Professor and Associate Dean (Research) at Graphic Era University Dehradun, Professor at Symbiosis International Deemed University (Pune), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon, Lingaya’s University- Faridabad, Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology- Ghaziabad, SYSCON Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata etc.. Currently, he is a full-time Professor at UPES, Dehradun, at the School of Computer Science. His career highlights include leading impactful research projects, publishing extensively, and fostering academic excellence through innovative pedagogy and mentorship. 

Dr. Choudhury’s research interests encompass AI-ML applications, specified algorithms, geoinformatics, AI in healthcare, brain computing, cloud computing, verifiable computing, etc. He is passionate about exploring machine learning and deep learning methodologies to solve complex problems in diverse domains.  

Dr. Choudhury believes in fostering an interactive and collaborative learning environment. His teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and the practical application of concepts. By integrating real-world examples and cutting-edge research into his pedagogy, he inspires students to excel academically and professionally in their career path. 

Dr. Choudhury has taught advanced courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Geo-Informatics, Business Intelligence, Computer Graphics, Statistical Analysis, Soft Computing, Programming Fundamentals, Data Structure, and Data Science.
