Dr. Sumitra

Sumitra earned her Ph.D. in the Internet of Things (IoT) from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. She has qualified both UGC-NET (2018) and GATE (2015, 2017,2018). She has published four SCI-indexed research papers in prestigious journals and two papers at international conferences. Her current research focuses on IoT and AI/ML.

With four years of experience as a Teaching Assistant at BITS Pilani, she also spent one year serving as a District Program Coordinator under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. 

Machine learning, IoT, Routing Protocol (RPL), Federated learning, Edge computing, TinyML, Location Privacy, Cyber security. 

She emphasizes practical learning by integrating real-world problems and examples. Her approach bridges the gap between theory and practice, empowering students with the skills they need to tackle real-life challenges effectively. 

She is proficient in teaching both ECE and CSE subjects. Her expertise includes Fundamentals of Python Programming, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Computer Organization and Architecture, Operating Systems, and Control Systems.
