Dr. Nitin Uniyal

Dr. Nitin Uniyal has dedicated himself to the field of Mathematics, also considered, the core of engineering and often referred to as the Queen of sciences. He actively contributes to the global Mathematics community by engaging on platforms like Mathstack Exchange to offer assistance and support. Dr. Uniyal earned his Ph.D. in Differential Geometry from HNB Garhwal Central University and currently focuses his research efforts on areas such as nature-based optimization and matrix methods cryptography.

Prior to joining UPES, Dr. Nitin Uniyal was associated with Uttaranchal University, Dehradun for over 3 years.

Dr. Uniyal's research interests encompass Matrix Methods Cryptography, Nature-based Optimization Algorithms, and Differential Geometry.

In his teaching philosophy, Dr. Uniyal emphasizes sound justification and reasoning in Mathematics. He believes that showcasing the problem-solving process in the classroom, along with addressing the challenges and potential flaws that often arise in the subject, is crucial. His teaching philosophy revolves around a balanced approach that incorporates the chalk-and-talk method as a fundamental tool for delivering foundational knowledge. Recognizing the significance of engaging and interactive teaching techniques, he believes that this method plays a crucial role in conveying structured content and establishing a strong framework for learning. He combines this method with interactive discussions, group activities, and technology integration to create a dynamic learning environment that promotes active engagement, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the subject matter.

Dr. Uniyal has taught a wide range of courses, including Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Modern Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE), Partial Differential Equations (PDE), Integral Equations, Calculus of Variations, Operations Research, and Graph Theory.

Dr. Uniyal's remarkable academic achievements include securing impressive ranks in the CSIR-NET exam in Mathematical Sciences, with AIR-09, AIR-11, AIR-19, and AIR-24. Additionally, he excelled in the Uttarakhand State eligibility test (USET) in Mathematical Sciences, achieving a rank of 9.

Dr. Uniyal has delivered several talks at both National and International conferences and holds affiliations with various government bodies in Uttarakhand, where he contributes as a subject expert in Mathematics.
