Dr. Salman Ashraf

Dr. Salman Ashraf earned his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, where his thesis explored the boundedness of linear operators on function spaces over local fields. He holds M.Sc. in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His research interests include Harmonic Analysis, Operator Theory, and Function Spaces.

After earning his Ph.D., Dr. Ashraf began his career at UPES as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics (Applied Science Cluster) under the School of Advanced Engineering.

Dr. Ashraf emphasizes a student-focused approach in his teaching, aiming to build a strong understanding and genuine interest in mathematics. He strives to create an inclusive and engaging environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and active participation.
