Advisor and Consultant Former Deputy Dean, Indian School of Business

Ms. Savita Mahajan, named by Business Today as one of India’s most powerful women in business in 2013, is sharply focused on strategic management, institutional values, leadership, and organisational change. She is currently an advisor and consultant to organisations, mostly in the field of education. Until 2015, she was Deputy Dean of the Indian School of Business, an institution she was associated with for 14 years, since its inception in 2001. As its CEO, Ms. Mahajan was responsible for building its second campus at Mohali, Punjab.

During her professional career spanning 34 years, she has worked in diverse industry sectors, including automobiles, engineering, financial services and software and has held senior positions at such reputed organisations as Maruti Udyog Limited, Bharat Technologies, Karvy Consultants, and Intergraph India. Ms. Mahajan has carried out consulting and training assignments for corporations and development organisations, including the Planning Commission, the World Bank, the Indian Railways and the Tibetan Government in exile of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.

Ms Mahajan completed her higher education at Delhi University, IIM-Ahmedabad, and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy, at Princeton University.
