Eligibility and Selection Criteria
For all UG Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in Class X and XII.
UPESMET-UG/ UGAT/ CUET/ Board Marks
For all PG Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in Class X & XII and Graduation. Graduation From a recognized University in any stream.
UPESMET / National Level Exams/ followed by Personal Interview
Non-Examination Pathway: Students with a minimum eligible MAT /CMAT 2025 score of 70 per cent will be exempted from the UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for Group Discussion and Interview if qualified. Valid 50 percentile and above score of CAT 2024/ XAT 2025 A score of minimum 400 or above for GMAT, a score of 120 and above in NMAT 2024 / 25 scores will also be accepted.
For B.Tech. Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in Class X and XII with 50% in PCM in Class XII.
For BCA and B.Sc. Programs:
50% marks in class X and XII with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology as one of the major Subject in Class XII.
For M.Tech. Programs:
1. Minimum 60% marks in Class X and XII
2. B. Tech/ BE (IT/(Hons.) Computer Science and Engineering), MCA, M.Sc. (Physics/Math’s/Statistics), with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
For MCA Programs:
Minimum 50% in Class X and XII & 50% aggregate marks in BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or B.Sc. (Information Technology) or any Graduation with Computer Science / IT as a subject for three years
OR
with (Mathematics or Statistics or Business Math’s or Business Statistics or QT as one of the subjects at Graduation or 10+2 level) or equivalent.
For B.Des. Programs:
Minimum 50% marks at X and XII in any stream.
UPESDAT/ National Level Exams (NID/ NIFT/ UCEED/ JEE Mains)/ Board Merit/ CUET followed by Portfolio Presentation & Interview Round.
For PG Programs:
1. Minimum 50% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary Level (X & XII).
2. Minimum 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree in any stream: 10+2+3 years (B.Des/ B.Arch./ B.Tech/ BFA graduates will be preferred).
National Level Exam (Valid CEED/ NID/ NIFT score)/ UPESDAT followed by Portfolio Presentation & Interview.
For B.Pharm. Programs:
Minimum 50% Marks in class X & XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Math’s, and English as a Major Subject in XII.
For B.Tech. Programs:
Minimum 50% Marks in class X & XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Math’s, and English as a Major Subject in XII.
For B.Sc. Programs:
Minimum 50% Marks in class X & XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Math’s, and English as a Major Subject in XII.
For M.Sc. Programs:
Min. 50% marks in class X & XII, and graduation in B.Sc. With Biology/Biotechnology/B.Sc./ Pharma / BPT/ B.Sc. Food Science Tech./ B.Sc. Microbiology/ B.Sc. Nursing / BMIT/B.Sc. B.Sc. Environmental Sciences/ B.Sc. Diary Sciences/ Biochemistry/ B.Sc. Chemistry/ B.Sc. Zoology/B.Sc. Food, Nutrition and Dietetics/home science or any other equivalent course
For LLM Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in classes X & XII.
Minimum 50% marks in Graduation with LL.B. Degree or equivalent.
For B.Sc. (Hons.) Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in class X and XII (any Stream)
A. Math/Eco/ Political Sc. in 12th will be preferred.
B. Non-Mathematics background students will undergo Remedial Mathematics module in Semester 1.
For BA (Hons.) Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in class X and XII (any Stream)
A. Math/Eco/ Political Sc. in 12th will be preferred.
B. Non-mathematics background students will undergo the Remedial Mathematics module in Semester 1.
For MA Programs:
Minimum 50% marks in class X, XII (any Stream)
Minimum 50% scores in Graduation
For UG programs:
50% in X & XII Any Stream
Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1998 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board only will be taken as authentic.
For PG programs:
50% in X, XII, and Graduation in any stream
