Profile Summary

Pritharshv is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, specialising in Product and Retail Design.  

His work traverses the entire brand spectrum - design strategy, brand experiences, retail space, exhibitions and installations, pop ups, experiential, film, graphics and identity, content and communication, ui/ux, design education and Artificial Intelligence led design.

This reflects his conviction that great design cannot happen without passion, intelligence and—above all—personal commitment, and is demonstrated by a portfolio that spans three decades, many industries, and clients of every size.

Pushkar has led design teams across some of the best design organisation in India - from the Times of India group for the design of the Femina Miss India pageant and the FilmFare Awards and then at the Shobiz Havas group. He has been creative director Hyperlink Brand Solutions, and then at 70EMG prior to joining UPES. 

 He is a fervent advocate of design, and has been both a full time faculty and a speaker at various design forums. He was the head of the Retail & Exhibition design program at the MIT Institute of Design from 2009 -2015 before he went on to take up industry assignments 

Work Experience

Pushkar has led design teams across some of the best design organisation in India - from the Times of India group for the design of the Femina Miss India pageant and the FilmFare Awards and then at the Shobiz Havas Group. He has been Senior Creative Director Hyperlink Brand Solutions, and then Director, Creative Solutions at 70EMG prior to joining UPES. 

Research Interests

Pushkar’s interests are diverse - from art to technology to design thinking to photography to adventure travel. He is deeply engaged in himalayan cultures and spends a great amount of time in the ladakh region engaging with communities. He has been working and photographing the nomadic communities of Ladakh since 2017. 

Teaching Philosophy

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Design is mostly taught from experience, and nothing teaches better than trying something and failing disasterly, and then getting better from that experience.
