Student Affairs
The Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA) is responsible for all round development and well being of the students at UPES. The DSA office takes care of cultural and extra-curricular activities of all the three constituent colleges of UPES. DSA is pro-actively involved in students’ affairs in the following areas:
  • Discipline
  • Grievance Redressal
  • Sports
  • Cultural Activities
  • Mental and Physical Health of Students
Numerous opportunities exist for UPES students to participate in sporting competitions at the intra and inter-University level as well as District, State and National levels. Besides the vast playground and several playrooms, the university has facilities for a number of indoor and outdoor games. These are:

  • A well equipped gymnasium
  • Multi-purpose sports ground for outdoor games like Football / Cricket / Hockey
  • Volleyball and Badminton courts
  • Professional athletics track
  • Indoor games such as Table Tennis, Carom, Pool, Billiards, etc.
  • A cemented cricket practice pitch with boundary nets, halogens, etc.

Recent Activities

UPES Team Hits High in Shooting

Ms Pratibha Singh MBA Power Mgmt (Ist Year) and Ms Pallavi Dora BBA LLB (Ist Year) participated in State Shooting Championship and grabbed one gold and one bronze medal in .22 air pistol event. In State Inter Collegiate Shooting Championship UPES team of three students won 09 medals in three different categories out of which 06 were gold. In the State Championship, UPES Shooters (all girls) broke all the previous records and grabbed 10 Gold, 05 Silver and 01 Bronze medal. So far UPES Team has won overall 27 Medals of all kind within five months.

T-20 cricket tournament 2010

Under Industry-Academia Interface, UPES launched T-20 cricket tournament christened as Energy-Cup. Three teams who participated were from UPES, ONGC and Schlumberger. Each team played against the other two. UPES team won both its encounters whereas ONGC team could win only one and Schlumberger team was not able to win any of its encounters.
