Energy studies to have created this large skills ecosystem and
having laid a very balanced yet diversified, skills-map on the
inclusive education of students in various areas of energy &
transportation.” He further said ….this University goes to fill
a long felt need of skilled manpower in the energy industry. ….
the University believes in enriching and supplementing the
students’ academic learning with extensive industry exposure
and interaction with working professionals.”
Four Doctorates were awarded to working professionals and faculty of UPES. The awardees were:
- Dr Surbhi Semwal, Process Optimization for Biodiesel
Preparation from Vegetable Oils using Heterogenous catalyst.
- Dr Rishi Dewan, Development of Oleophobic Polymeric Surface
induced by Ion beams.
- Dr DK Gupta, Study of Wellbore Stability with Varying
Borehole Orientation through Stress Condition Modeling.
- Dr Kanchan Deoli Bahukhandi,A study on surface and
Groundwater quality of Dehradun and Hardwar Districts of
Uttarakhand: Impact Assessment of Urbanization and
Industrialization.
